Assignment Prof Terrell Aicha Diakite GB 540 The success or failure of any firm or organization depends upon the competency and proficiency of its workforce. To improve the performance of a particular organization and its employees, motivation is required from the workforce. Employee maintenance can be practiced by thoroughly motivating the employees in many ways. In the big organizational environment, it is hard for the supervisor to motivate employees as compared to the small organizational environment. There are various strategies and techniques which are to be applied in order to motivate employees for better performance. Motivating employees require finding a balance. There are pros and cons of employee motivation (Applegate, 2008). Many organizations use training programs to develop the skills of their employees for the betterment of their organization. Motivating the employees improves their performance, which has a direct impact on organizationââ¬â¢s own performance, for example, if you offer bonus the sales person w ill automatically work hard to sell more as he would feel respected.
